Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates
Please read the following important information regarding COVIDThe Centre is working to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff is maintained. We want to address the growing fears around the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and share with you the information we have at the current time.
The health and safety of our community is our main priority, we always uphold a high standard of hygiene within the centre, however are taking extra precautions during this time.
We hope you will do what you can to take care of yourself and those around you.

Remember is you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of the flu, cough or cold to please remain away from the centre until you are feeling 100%.
We are re-opening on the 1st of September under a strict covid safe plan. Please read the following changes we have implemented to keep the community safe.
Covid Safe Policies and ProcessesThe Drummoyne Swimming Centre has adopted new policies and processes to ensure we can keep our community members safe whilst using the facility. Please read the following changes and come prepared when visiting the facility.
Stay home if You are Unwell - If you are unwell please do not visit the facility. Anybody displaying cold/flu like symptoms will not be granted entry.
No Locker Use - to help fight the spread of the Corona Virus we are limiting high touch points including the lockers. Please leave your valuables at home or in the car when visiting the facility.
Cashless Preferred - We will still be accepting cash as payment though we would prefer you to use a credit or debit card.
Maximum Capacity Areas - We have displayed signage across the facility illustrating the maximum capacity of each enclosed area including kiosk, reception and the changerooms, please abide by this.
Sanitise Station - We have a sanitise station set up upon entry, please sanitise when visiting.
Bubblers Not Operational - Bubblers have been turned off, please come prepared with water or purchase a bottle from the kiosk.
Limit Shower Use - Showers are still operational and available to use though we ask that you please limit your time in the changerooms by coming to the facility ready to swim and shower at home.
Social Distancing - Please keep 1.5m away from staff and other guests at all times
No Grouping in Lanes - Please do not group at the end of lanes as this breaches the social distancing guidelines. Please exit the pool when you are not swimming.
Lift Use - Please do not use the lift if you are able to use the stairs. If you require to use the lift, we have a 1 person capacity.
No Loaning Goggles - Please bring your own goggles to the facility, if you forget to bring them we are unable to provide you with a loan pair.

Update - 26/03/2021
Update. Eased restrictions and Check-In requirements
In line with the announcement from the NSW Government, from 12.01am on Monday 29- March, NSW will further relax its COVIDSafe Settings. This means:
Revised limits on capacity – check our website for operating and timetable updates
Whilst COVID-19 restrictions will ease, compliance must increase:
- Masks are not required to be worn, but you must carry a face-mask with you at all times
- Check-in and check-out is required on each visit in line with contact tracing requirements
All venues to move to the one person per 2sqm rule (venues will be allowed at least 25 people before the 2sqm rule applies). Please check our website for operating and timetable updates.
As required by the NSW Government, we must manage Check-In and Out for Contact Tracing record keeping.
What does this mean for you and us?
- Pen and paper contract tracing methods are no longer a suitable form of contact tracing
- All members, staff and visitors should Check in using the Services NSW app
How to use the Service NSW app?
- The free Service NSW app is available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- You should use the Service NSW app each time you enter and exit our facility
If you do not have a smartphone or are unable to use one, others in your group can check in for you or staff at the premises will be able to check you in manually.

Our Centre’s COVIDSafe initiatives and practices are still in place to ensure a safe experience in our venue. This includes the use and provision of hand sanitiser stations, social distancing measures and revisions to our classes to cater for any capacity restrictions and changes.

Important UPDATE for NSW travellers
As a result of the growing coronavirus cluster in Sydney's Northern Beaches we ask that any visitor or guest traveling from this hotspot to please use vigilance and only travel if you and your family are feeling well.
For the health and safety of our members and guests we ask that if you are feeling unwell or showing flu like symptoms to please get tested and not visit the centre until you are well again.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian & the NSW Chief Health Officer have announced that NSW will temporarily shut its border with Victoria to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and jobs of NSW citizens.
The closure will be effective from 12.01am Wednesday, 8 July.
NSW residents returning from a Melbourne hotspot are already required to go into 14 days of self-isolation. This requirement will be extended to anyone returning from Victoria. This will be backed by heavy penalties and fines.
This means, you are not permitted to enter our facility until you have managed your own period of self-isolation. Please contact our team where you need to discuss.

Following todays Federal announcements we have received a number of enquiries about our re-opening.
We would like to thank everyone for their enquiries and eagerness to get back to swimming at our Centre.
As our outdoor pool is seasonal, and in normal circumstances would be closed at this time of year, we will be remaining closed for the Winter as per usual. We anticipate a reopening in October for another season.
Thank you to all of our wonderful customers. We appreciate your support and patronage and cannot wait to welcome you back next season.

Update - 20/03/2020 1:00pm
Dear Members and Guests,
Following the advice of Belgravia Leisure and with the support of our Council partner we are proactively closing the Centre as of COB Friday 20th March for the end of the season.
In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and as a result of the Commonwealth Government decision on public gatherings, the Centre will be closed to all patrons as part of our efforts to ensure the continued wellness of our members and staff.
The good news is we have not received any information to indicate that an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been in the Centre.
If you are a season pass holder or have a visit pass, we will be suspending these as of COB today. Any credit or entries you have left on these memberships will be available for you to use next season.

As the COVID-19 situation evolves at a rapid rate, we continue to closely monitor the situation. This morning Prime Minister Scott Morrison addressed Australia with updated Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures, to further protect Australians. These measures came into effect at 5pm (AEST) today.
The key measure which relates to health, fitness and leisure facilities includes:
‘Settings like gyms, indoor fitness centres and swimming pools are not required to close at this time providing they meet these requirements for social distancing and hand hygiene. Such venues should take actions to ensure regular high standards of environmental cleaning take place.’
In line with this measure, the following measures must be practiced by all who visit our Centre, including our staff:
- Maintain a distance of 1.5 metres between patrons
- Keep up high hygiene practices, including using hand hygiene products and suitable waste receptacles need to be available, with frequent cleaning and waste disposal.
It’s important to remember that maintaining our physical and mental health is extremely important on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, we’d like to remind you that the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene are being maintained within our facilities. This includes:
- Updated signage: we’ve updated in-centre signage to include the latest information and hygiene practices as advised by the Australian Government
- Additional cleaning of the facility throughout the day; including frequent sanitisation of equipment, surfaces, bathrooms and other areas.
- Additional sanitisers and antibacterial products for your use
- Daily staff meetings, ensuring everyone is up to date with the latest information

Our Centre is open for business!
We have been closely monitoring the escalating coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in our community and across the country.
We would like to reassure all of our members that our facilities follow the strictest hygiene standards and are still safe to visit unless otherwise advised. However, we are aware of the potential for an infection within our facility and would like to update you on the precautionary measures that we have taken within our facility.
We understand that some of these measures may be inconvenient, but they have been put in place to ensure that we are doing everything possible to proactively prevent an outbreak within our facility.
Please note that the measures listed below are being reviewed on a daily basis in conjunction with advice from the government and World Health Organisation.
Hygiene Action Plan
- Signage in facilities displaying up-to-date health alerts, hygiene advice and other essential information
- Showering and washing prior to entering the pool
- Please use hand-wash facilities in the bathroom
- For anyone experiencing flu, cough and cold symptoms, we ask that you refrain from visiting the facility.
- If you did visit the facility when you were unwell, we ask that you advise the facility manager by phone or email.

If I have or am undergoing a period of self-isolation, what happens to my membership?
If you are showing symptoms or have been recommended by a Health Professional to self isolate, you should be staying at home and minimising contact with others. Please contact the Centre team to discuss managing your membership where you are uncertain of your options.
Are casual passes still available for purchase?
With our tightened control measures surrounding international visitations, day passes will only be available to local residents.
